器好きの母のもと、
新潟で生まれ育った杉浦さん。
この人にはこの器がぴったり、
この器ならこの料理が似合うはず…と
人柄やお料理に合わせて食器を選ぶのを楽しんでいたそうです。
 
ある時気に入った器に巡り合えなくて
それなら作ればいいじゃない!と
料理好きから職人の世界へ。
 
古典的な絵からカラフルな絵柄まで、
「料理」を愉しむための器を作られています。

Tobe ware from Ehime is made using traditional craft techniques and the handicraft of an innovative and charming artisan.

Ms Sugiura was born and raised in Niigata by her mother, who loved ceramic tableware.

"This piece is perfect for this person"..."This piece would look great with this dish"... She says, explaining that she enjoys choosing tableware based on the personality of the person or meal.

"One day, I couldn't find just the right piece, and so I decided, "Why don't I make it myself!" And with that, she went from a person who loved to cook to the world of craftsmen.

From pieces with classic patterns to colorful designs, her ceramic tableware is made to enjoy food.
